Big Brother epitomizes a distorted and pathological INTJ archetype. His dominant Introverted Intuition (Ni) is fixated on a single, grand, and terrifying vision of the future: a world of perfect, unchanging totalitarian control. This vision is not for personal glory in a traditional sense, but for the realization of an ideological end-state where the Party is eternal. His auxiliary Extraverted Thinking (Te) is the brutal engine that executes this vision with terrifying efficiency. It manifests in the cold, logical, and systematic structures of the Party: the telescreens, the Thought Police, Newspeak, and the relentless rewriting of history. All are Te-driven systems designed to eliminate unpredictability and enforce conformity to the Ni vision.
His personality is defined by a complete repression of Introverted Feeling (Fi) and Extraverted Sensing (Se). There is no personal morality, empathy, or individual value (Fi); the self is subsumed entirely into the collective identity of the Party. Similarly, he rejects the concrete, experiential reality of the present (inferior Se), instead constantly manipulating it to fit his abstract vision. Reality is whatever the Party says it is. This creates a being that is purely ideological and systemic, devoid of humanity.
In terms of interpersonal dynamics, Big Brother does not relate to individuals but to the masses as a single entity to be controlled. His ‘relationships’ are based on dominance, fear, and forced worship. The concept of growth, in a psychological sense, is antithetical to him; his entire purpose is stasis and the prevention of any change, internal or external. He represents the ultimate stagnation of the INTJ’s potential, where a powerful visionary capacity is turned inward to create a closed, perfect, and utterly lifeless system of control.
